Community Livelihoods Enhancement
We support communities in building local capacity, fostering inclusive participation, and creating sustainable solutions from within.
Empowering Communities Through Conservation
At Naibunga Central Conservancy, conservation and community development go hand in hand. We believe that protecting natural resources must translate into tangible benefits for the people who steward them.
Our community livelihoods programme focuses on creating sustainable economic opportunities, supporting women and youth empowerment, and investing in social infrastructure. Revenue from eco-tourism and conservation activities flows directly back to the communities of Musul, Kijabe, and Nkiloriti.
How We Support Livelihoods
From employment opportunities to education support, we build sustainable futures alongside the local communities.
Eco-Tourism & Direct Employment
Our community-run campsites create direct employment for local residents as guides, rangers, camp managers, and hospitality staff, keeping tourism revenue rooted in the local economy.
Women's Enterprise & Beadwork Cooperatives
We support women-led beadwork cooperatives and micro-enterprises, connecting traditional Maasai craftsmanship with broader commercial markets to secure financial independence for women.
Youth Leadership & Conservation Training
Through ranger cadet training, conservation education, and vocational skills development, we invest in local youth to foster the next generation of environmental stewards.
Community Infrastructure Development
Conservation revenue is channeled into essential community infrastructure, funding water boreholes, school facilities, and local health access across Musul, Kijabe, and Nkiloriti.
Livestock Breed Improvement & Veterinary Care
We collaborate with pastoralist herders to improve livestock health, enhance veterinary services, and facilitate better market access for healthier, more valuable herds.
Education Bursaries & School Support
Dedicated scholarship programs ensure children from vulnerable households receive secondary and higher education support, opening long-term career pathways.
